3.Trading Financial Instruments During The New York Session
Just like Asia and Europe, the U.S session has one major financial center that the markets keep their eyes on, and there will be countless opportunities for traders to benefit from this Session.
One thing to keep in mind during the New York Sessions is that you will find the most liquidity and volume during the first couple of hours during this Session because it overlaps the London session.
Along with most economic reports being released during the U.S session. Once European markets close shop, liquidity, and volatility tends to die down during the afternoon U.S. Session.
There is very little movement Friday afternoon, as Asian traders are logging off of their trading desk for the end of the trading week.
Also, on Fridays, there is the chance of reversals in the second half of the Session as U.S Traders are closing their positions for the week.
Take note that there will be a ton of liquidity as both the U.S. and European markets will be open at the same time.
This allows you to trade virtually any pair, although it would be best if you stuck to the major and minor pairs and avoid those weird ones.
You can also trade commodities such as XAU/USD (GOLD) or XAG/USD (SILVER), You can even trade index funds such as the DOW or SP500.
